General Information

The foundation of Interurban service is to meet the needs of Texas State students traveling between Austin and San Marcos.  We strive to provide viable weekday transportation which meets the needs of the general public traveling along the IH 35 corridor: there are three levels of service provided over the course of the year based on passenger demand; those service levels are linked below.

In the fall of 2012 we added a fourth level of service:  Saturday service allows students living on campus and in San Marcos to leave their car parked more often and use a more sustainable transportation alternative.  This route along with five more in San Marcos will allow residents living locally to get to multiple retailers for their basic shopping needs without driving.  Service connections to Capital Metro in Austin are also available so that passengers can make connections to activities in downtown Austin.  NoteSaturday service does not operate during the summer; there is no Sunday service.

Please note:  BTI service will only operate through August 23, 2013.

BEGINNING AUGUST 26, 2013, TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY WILL NO LONGER OPERATE THE BTI SERVICE TO KYLE/AUSTIN AND NEW BRAUNFELS/SAN ANTONIO.
