Cash Fares (effective August 27, 2012 and valid through Summer 2013):
Zone Fares
Reduced Fare (On days Texas State is not open for class or final exams)
Saturday Fare, (south Austin service only)
How the Multi-Ride ticket work: Travel that rivals the full cost of driving your personal car!
One-way travel between each zone requires one zone or "Bobcat paw" to be removed from the 20-zone multi-ride card. Zones are defined as being between:
As an example: Travel between South Austin, (Southpark Meadows) to any stop in San Marcos would cross two zones and require two "paws" or zones to be punched from your 20-zone card. Given the cost of a 20-zone card is $50 for Texas State I.D. holders; the multi-ride ticket cost of this trip would be $5.00 one-way vs. an $8.00 cash fare.
The multi-ride cards will be good through August 23, 2013.
| Multi-Ride Tickets: The 20-punch cards, (comprised of 20 Bobcat paws), are available for purchase at HEB in Kyle, San Marcos and New Braunfels, and on campus at the LBJ Student Center Information Booth – they cost $50 for Texas State I.D. holders and $55 for the general public. Fare cards are non-refundable. Each punch corresponds to a zone of bus service. These new fares went into effect August 27, 2012; Cards with 2012 will continue to be issued until all stock is exausted prior to issuing 2013 cards and will continue to be valid through 2013. | |
