Local public bus service (including ADA accessible demand-response service) is also provided by the City of San Marcos.

The system transports students, faculty, staff, and the general public from the remote parking areas and concentrated student population areas in the city of San Marcos to the central campus, as well as provides a means of cross-campus travel and travel to various locations in the city of San Marcos.

This system is supported by students, who pay a bus fee at registration each semester.  Service is operated on class days and during finals; reduced service is available on Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters.  Saturday service is not offered during the summer semester or during semester breaks.  No service is offered on Sundays or official university holidays.
