General Information

There are six Bobcat Tram Saturday bus routes:  The first four of these routes, (41-43,45), provide service to most City and Campus bus stops; these are designed to link our local riders to campus and the Marketplace bus routes.  The last two routes, (44,46), provide service to retail establishments in San Marcos and Austin.  Routes 41-45 provide service once every 45 minutes; route 46 provides service every 90 minutes.  All routes link to one another on campus at the Student Center bus loop, (next to Jackson Hall.  Service begins at 10:10 AM with final buses leaving the Student Center at 6:15 PM; each bus route is slightly different, so please check the schedule links below to determine when a bus will arrive at your stop.

Town Routes:

41 – San Marcos East

Service departs from the Student Center Bus Loop, providing stops along the northeast side of campus and the city.  Stops are provided in the following order: Jowers (next to Strahan Coliseum), Stadium East, Stadium West, HEB on Robbie Lane, Summit Apt., State Flats, University Heights, Uhland Rd., The Zone, River Oaks Villas, Riverside Ranch, The Grove, Heights 2, Los Cucos.

42 – San Marcos North

Service departs from the Student Center Bus Loop, providing service in the following order:  The Outpost, providing stops at apartments northeast of campus. Stops are provided in the following order: Student Center, Bobcat Village West, Post Rd Place, The Outpost, Village Green, Aspen Heights, Veranda at Telluride & Mill, Copper Beech Clubhouse, The Old Mill, Bobcat Village.

43 – San Marcos West

Service departs from the Student Center Bus Loop, providing service in the following order:  Speck Garage on Speck St., Highcrest, The Edge, Dakota Ranch, Executive Townhomes, Crest Avenue, Langtry Apartments, Sonora Trail, Sagewood, Holland St @ N. LBJ St, (takes the place of Hillside Ranch & Stonegate stops), Holland @ El Primo’s Tacos, Speck Garage on Academy St., Student Recreation Center, Supple Science, Comanche Hill, San Jacinto, Concho Green, Which Wich, Sewell Park and Sessom @ Peques, the Quad Guard Booth (LBJ/ Sessom) then continues  up right ramp to Matthews St. into campus toward the Student Center.

45 – San Marcos South   

Service departs from the Student Center Bus Loop, heading  south toward I 35, providing service in the following order:  San Jacinto, Frost Bank, San Marcos Station, Sonic on Guadalupe St.,  Texas Roadhouse (The Villas at Willow Springs), Cabana Beach, Vantage Apts, University Club, Lowe's, Education Station, Half Price Books on Bugg Lane, Walmart (River Rd at the south end of the parking lot), Days Inn, Knight's Inn, Garcia's Restaurant, Sean Patrick's (LBJ/ San Antonio St), Chipotle.

Marketplace Routes:

44 – San Marcos Marketplace

Service departs from the Student Center Bus Loop, providing service in the following order:  San Jacinto Hall, Frost Bank, HEB (CARTS shelter on Hopkins St.), San N Pack at Bishop St., Stonebrook Apts, Wonder World Dr. @ IH35, (across from Valero), North Carolina Furniture Outlet, Academy Sports, Target, JC Penney, Toyota, (across from dealership), River City Grill (Tanger Outlets), Food Court, (Prime Outlets), 2B bebe (Prime Outlets), Valero on Wonder World, J&R Gymnastics (Savannah Club), M&M Taco Corner at Bishop St., HEB (on Comanche St at Hutchison St).

46 – Austin Marketplace   

Service departs from the Student Center Bus Loop, providing service in the following order: Undergrad Admissions, San Marcos Station, (connections to Greyhound and Amtrak)...the in Austin at PetSmart on Turk Lane, (at Southpark Meadows-Capital Metro bus shelter with connecting service on the Capital Metro 1L and 201), Sonic on Cullen Lane, (Capital Metro bus stop across from Sonic and behind Wal-Mart; again, with connecting Capital Metro service on the 1L and 201)...return to San Marcos with stops at Garcia's, CM Allen at Hopkins St., Sewell Park.
